kenny-6412ParticipantHi guys 5 stars for this brill Theme. I love it and the ease to change things.
Sorry if this is simple Q but cannot find answer on forums.
Im working on Staging Site (maintenance) so playing about with Settings and PreBuilts sites.Using Christmas2 site the Search results show over 2 columns on demo.
I swapped Logo with Search and Flex layout remains as Equal Right & left.
My site only shows results over 1 column (iamge attached).
Q1. Should my site be exact same as demo?
Q2.Can I amend anything to make Search results same.?
Q3. How to increase width of theSearch Bar?
Thx Kenny.-

July 1, 2026 at 11:32 am #722803Hello,
Regarding your questions, the search results layout depends on the width of the search form.
In the Christmas 2 demo, the header row is configured with the Flexible middle column layout, and the search form width is relatively small. Because of this, the AJAX search dropdown is displayed in a single column by default.
See Screenshot of the demo: https://postimg.cc/34w5N43V
If you would like the search results to appear in two columns, please edit the Search element in the Header Builder and navigate to the Style tab. There, increase the Form Width value. Once the search form becomes wide enough, the search dropdown will automatically switch to a two-column layout.
Please refer to the screenshot:https://postimg.cc/18KjFm7Q
So, this behavior is expected and is determined dynamically by the available width of the search area rather than by a separate setting for the number of columns.
Best Regards

kenny-6412ParticipantHi AIA.
Thanks for reply.
Now confused as just looked at Christmas2 on Firefox and Chrome and simple search for ‘tree’ gives 2 columns.
I have increased search width on my site to double size , made flexi-middle layout and still single column.

I checked the Christmas 2 demo again and can confirm that the number of columns in the AJAX search results depends on the available width of the search area and even the browser/display scaling.
For example, with Windows display scaling set to 150% (Recommended), the demo shows the search results in one column, while at 100% scaling there is enough available width and the results are displayed in two columns: https://postimg.cc/Lqhj8Kxb
So, this behavior is expected and is controlled dynamically based on the actual width available to the search dropdown rather than by a dedicated setting. Increasing the search form width and using the Flexible middle column layout provides more space, but the final number of columns may still vary depending on screen resolution, browser zoom, and display scaling.
If you need any help, share the site URL and let me know. I will further check on your site and give you a possible solution.
Best Regards
