Shipping carrier doesn't show anymore at the checkout page

Hello,

I have 2 plugins that should calculate and show the shipping fees at the checkout page.
– Multi-Carrier Shipping Plugin for WooCommerce – this one is linked to my DHL account and gives DHL rates that it calculates
– WooCommerce Shipping By Rules – this one shows transporters (DPD) for EU countries: France, Spain, UK…

These 2 plugins were working perfectly. Then this weekend I migrated from Polylang to WPML and now the shipping transporters/carriers selection and fees don’t show anymore at the checkout (showing it in the cart is deactivated).

When only activating WPML plugins and these 2 carrier plugins (with Basel theme) then shipping carrier do NOT show at checkout

When only activating WPML plugins and these 2 carrier plugins (with TwentyNineteen theme) then shipping carrier DO show at checkout

When only activating WPML plugins (but WPML String Translation plugin) and these 2 carrier plugins (with Basel theme) then shipping carrier DO show at checkout

So it looks like your theme is having an issue with WPML String Translation plugin?

I’m sending you access to my staging site where only these plugins are activated for you to test.

Please let me know if you can find a solution, and please keep track of your changes so I can apply them to my production server!

I’m sorry but you should look at the specifications YOUR COMPANY mentioned for YOUR theme as it explicitly says it supports WPML!!!

When using woocommerce theme it works fine so are you saying now after I bought and spent days customizing your theme that it actually doesn’t support WPML???

Yes, our theme supports WPML. And our theme also supports Woocommerce. However, the issue is compatibility of WMPL and third parties plugins: Multi-Carrier Shipping Plugin and WooCommerce Shipping By Rules. We do not guarantee the smooth work between the plugins. That is why you need to contact those plugins support and WPML.

Well in this case I deactivated these 2 shipping plugins and the only remaining plugins are then Woocommerce and WPML – using flat rate shipping from woocommerce – and it still doesn’t show the shipping fees at checkout.

While on TwentyNineteen theme it works perfectly.
You can test on my staging website – choose USA as shipping address – and you will see your theme is just not compatible with WPML and woocommerce!

Is there anything you are willing to do to make it work so that what your company says your theme supports actually matches the reality??

Please confirm the permit to check the issue and switch to the parent theme. Now you are on the child theme

Good point I switched to Basel parent theme and the issue disappeared so I checked the few custom settings in the child theme and managed to find the issue!
