OchukoParticipantGood afternoon, I would like the dropdown of my menus on a website to look like this and was just wondering how I would be able to do it like that. Below are two screenshots. One is what it current looks on my website and the other is how I would like it to look. Well how it drops down like that and has different columns. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Each block is created in HTML blocks https://xtemos.com/docs/basel/html-blocks/ by means of WP Bakery page builder and Extra menu list https://xtemos.com/docs/basel/shortcodes/
Then you add the shortcode of the HTML block into the menu item https://xtemos.com/docs/basel/create-menu/
Best Regards

OchukoParticipantSorry, would you be able to provide a step by step instruction on how it would be created. I would like there to be like categories so one block would be barbershops, next to that block will be salons and so forth. And under each category it would have a list of all those shops underneath. If that makes sense.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
1. Navigate to HTML block and create a mega block for each menu item. https://gyazo.com/2354e68717b862ea2c8e49e57863a18d and http://prntscr.com/nmq84r
2. Navigate to Appearance > Menu > Choose the menu > enter the menu item and insert the shortcode https://gyazo.com/bfe9918e57008ae814f87357d7088ccd

OchukoParticipantSorry, would you be able to create on called “Barbershop” and under that could you put any name under it just to test it. Would you if possible to be able to screen record the process so I know and can actually see how it is done.

OchukoParticipantI am sorry, I am still very confused. Is there anyone you could recommend that could do a job for me regarding the designing of the website as I would like it to have some functionalities of a website. Certain aspects of it.

OchukoParticipantOn my website, I have now created the menus but I would still like it to have like that dropdown like the picture I sent. Would you be able to create one on my website and screen record the process please? Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Our support does not cover the service of the menu creation, we deal with bugs if any and guiding you in the Theme Settings. You will have to find a person who would do it for you.
Now you have an HTML block. You can create your own based on it and add its shortcode to the menu item.
Best Regards

OchukoParticipantI am sorry, but I still do not understand how I will be able to create the drop down menu like that. All I did was go to customise and edit the menus. Then added custom Links and then went to categories to create categories for all of them, then I just copied and pasted those links in the custom links. Are there any videos or tutorials that I can watch to see exactly how I can create it. Would you also be able to recommend any specialists of this theme or where I could find any to do some work for me?

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
1. Create HTML block as per your needs, here are video tutorials on how to create templates in WP Bakery page builder https://wpbakery.com/video-tutorials/
2. Add the shortcode to the menu as shown in the instructions provided above.
We do not have any specialist to recommend.

OchukoParticipantGood morning, I have been struggling to get the drop down like the screenshots above. I have read the files you have on HTML Blocks and Shortcodes, but none of them seem to be helping me to create that. Would you be able to make a couple of those drop downs on my site and could you document the process to help me visually understand so I can try to replicate them myself.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
I have created HTML block for you so that you could edit it and add into your menu, now you have deleted all.
1. Create the template in this HTML block https://gyazo.com/8a3702975ac3bc1ef8cdda4c33c4a9f8
2. Add the shortcode of this HTML block into the menu item. https://xtemos.com/docs/basel/create-menu/
Best Regards
If you cannot do it, please find a person who could do it for you. Our support does not cover the service of templates creating.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
HTML block as you can see uses WP Bakery chart. Here are video tutorials on how to create the template and configure elements. https://wpbakery.com/video-tutorials/
Here is the video on how to divide the row into columns https://wpbakery.com/video-academy/insert-inner-row-wpbakery-page-builder-wordpress/

OchukoParticipantOnce I have created the HTML Block and I try to put it in my menus, it doesn’t give me a place to put the HTML Shortcode, so that it can dropdown and look like that.
May 26, 2019 at 5:07 pm #125821
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
1. Make sure you have installed and activated all the required plugins,
2. Navigate to Appearance > Menu > Screen options (in the right top corner) enable all;
3. As soon as you add a menu item, save menu, then opent menu item and insert the shortcode into the Description field.
Best Regards
