Short / Full Description

Maybe I am not looking at the right place, but I cannot find a section to enter a full text description for a product.

Right now I have the product description (the content right to the product image on a product page) entered in the short description field. The downside of this, is that on category pages all products have a lot of text shown. So I would rather have a limited short description and a full description that is being used next to the product image on the product page. Or is it easier to somehow limit the characters of the short description on the category page?

Please deactivate all the plugins not related to the theme and switch the parent theme, check the issue, if the problem remains, leave the plugins not activated and provide the site admin access to the private area

Maybe I did not described it properly, but this is not a problem based on themes or plugins as far as I can guess. It is about the lenght of the description on the shop/category page. And wether or not there is an option for a long description besides the short description field.

Our theme does not influence on the content, unfortunately. The product page has both: long description and short. I do not see the long description on your product page.
