“Show single variation” feature not working

Greetings! I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this feature was implemented in version 7, as I had just purchased a plugin to do this exact thing and now I don’t need it because it’s built-in to WoodMart. Thanks for the upgrade!

The thing is, the feature doesn’t seem to be working. I enabled only “Show single variation” for now on our staging website, and left “Hide variations parent” off. I saved certain products to test the feature, rather than all of them, because there are hundreds and it will take a long time even through the bulk edit feature.

For example, this is a variable product: https://dev2.wildguitars.co.il/product/prs-fiore/
I saved the product, but the variations don’t appear in the shop.

Here is the product in the shop (after some filters):

You can see that only the parent product appears. I have tried a few products and none of them work.

I’d appreciate your assistance with this as I am eager to apply this new feature to our live site!

Hello,

They might not work with filters if you enable “Table usage” option in WooCommerce -> Settings -> Products -> Advanced. Try to disable it and test how it works.

Can you please explain the implications of turning off “Enable table usage”?
Also, I see that in the search results only the parent products appear. Is there a way to display the variations as single products in the search results as well?

It is a WooCommerce feature for performance optimization. But we can’t adapt this option with Linked variations. Other plugins can’t handle this as well.

It depends on the number of products you have on your website. Also, test your website carefully to see if it affects the performance in some way.

I have provided the FTP details to our staging website in the private content.

If you search for “Spark MINI” you will only see the parent product, and not the two variations (black and white).

I’ve provided the information in the private content.

You have a custom search form in the header and it looks like it doesn’t work as you expected. When we tested our theme’s built-in search form it worked correctly.

Yes, you can try contacting the plugin developer for help since it seems to be not compatible with single variations displayed as products.
