    Greetings XTemos team!
I am considering switching to the “Show single variation” method on our production site, and am currently running some tests on our staging site.

While the single variations are showing properly in the categories/navigation, only the parent product is showing in the search results.

Please see the admin login details and a link to an example product, in the private content.

Also, I noticed that the the single variations are being displayed “far away” from the parent product and not right before or after it, as if the variations have a different publish date.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

    Hi wildguitars,

Thanks for reaching to us and appreciate your patience.

When you enable the option from the theme options then it will only show the products separately on the front not divide the products on the backend in the products section, and the filters do not pick the products from the front end. This is the way it works.

Hi Hung, thank you for the prompt reply, although I’m not sure you entirely understood my inquiry.

In the first row of this category, you can see the three separate variations of the Schecter Nick Johnston Trad 10th Anniversary HSS guitar:

You can also see the parent product in the fourth row.

But if you search “Nick Johnston” (for example), in the search results, you can only see the parent product (the only one with the turquoise label)

I am asking how can we see the variations in the search results as well?

    Best regards,
    Tom

    Hi wildguitars,

I fully understood your queries, please let me know explain in more details:

When you enable Show single variation, the theme visually displays each variation (like the color Beige or Blue) as separate items on the frontend, but these variations are not treated as individual products in the backend, which is where the filter widgets pull data from. This feature separates variations on the front end, but filtering still relies on the parent product structure.

    Hope you can understand!

    Best Regards,
    Hung PD
