Single Product, Single picture problems

I’m having some problems when trying to set up Single Product -> Gallery -> Image Gallery layout.

For some products, I’m only using 1 picture. But the carousel is still being shown as more pictures. When you try and go left/right on it. The next image is empty.

Please advice.
