site down, error on update theme

    Hi,

    we updated the main theme and our website crashed. We cannot access the admin, we have enter the recovery mode.
    you have same admin credentials before.

    please help.

    You need to update PHP on your server to version 7.4 or newer to make it work.

    Thank you for helping us to solve this issue.
    It would be appreciated if any new theme update will come with a note where to be indicated the minimum technical requirements for the update to work, in order to avoid this kind of issues. Maybe you took this into consideration for next updates.

    PHP 7.4 or higher is required by WordPress by itself. You can find this information here https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/
