SITE SUPER SLOW with Woodmart

Hi there,

I’m using woodmart theme with woocommerce and recommended plugin.

There is NO MEDIA FILES on the site currently.

I’ve just added products and their descriptions.

When I check the site speed & performance in GTMetric & Google PageSpeed Insights the results are very disappointing.

What am I missing out here?

In general, our theme is already optimized and doesn’t have too many resources to make your website slow. Most likely, your website performance suffers from the content you have added to your website. It may happen in case of too many plugins, large not optimized images, or other resources. So we suggest you remove unnecessary plugins, install some kind of JS & CSS optimizing plugins like Better WordPress Minify, and a caching plugin like WP Super Cache. Be sure that JS and CSS minification is enabled in Theme Settings -> Performance. Also, you can use the GTmetrix tool to see what makes your website slow and optimize these parts of your website.

Thank you for the DEFAULT TEMPLATE response. Appreciate the efforts put in.

But, Which part of my question did you not understand?

I’ve clearly mentioned “I’m using woodmart theme with woocommerce and recommended plugin. There is NO MEDIA FILES on the site currently.”

We resorted the site to it’s original sate. We’re gonna do a fresh installation later this week and show you the performance results.

Hopefully then we can get an honest response.

Your website response time is huge and it is not caused by our theme. Try to perform the following tests:

1. Test without any extra plugins and with our theme.

2. Test without any extra plugins and with default WordPress theme.

If it will work well when default theme is activated, keep it active and send us your admin access so we can check.
