d_chParticipantHi,
I have created a size guide which I wish to set to some products of my website. More specifically, the size guide is related with iPhone cases sizes, so I would like to add it to my iPhone cases product category. However, some of the iPhone cases belong to an extra category called Xmas products. So on my front-end I realised that size guide is appeared only at products which belong to the category iPhone cases but not at the products which belong at both iPhone cases & Xmas products.
Could you give me some advice on this?
Kind Regards,

d_chParticipantHi,
I want to set directly to the whole product category the size guide and not per different product as shop has many products so it will be difficult for my client to edit each product separately and set the size guide from there.
As I saw you give the option to set product categories where the size guide will be appeared but as I told you this function doesn’t work for products which belong to more than 1 category.
Isn’t this possible to be achieved?

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
I have tested it on our deployment website and it works well with the products that are in more than one category.

It only doesn’t work when only the subcategories are selected for the product.
Please make sure that you are using the latest version of the woodmart theme and recommended plugins.
Best Regards.

d_chParticipantI have everything updated to the latest version (theme, WordPress & plugins).
Could you please take a quick look on my back-end? I forward to you my WP-Admin details at my private content. Please check the size guide that I have set to my main “iPhone cases” category. It is appeared for products which belong only on this category and not for products which belong at both Xmas products and iPhone cases categories.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
I have logged in to your website. I have found it if you want to display the size guides on the products that belong to more than one category then you need to select both from the Edit Size Guides.
I have selected both categories and the size guide is displayed on both products.

d_chParticipantHi,
Yes I know that it works this way but it’s not correct as size guide for iphone cases will be displayed at all products of the second category (Xmas products in my example) and not only to the iPhone cases products (which belong to Xmas products and to iPhone cases categories).
Isn’t there an alternative solution? Please check my private content to better understand what I mean.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
I have visited the links again. Unfortunately, there is no alternate solution for this because the size guides while you are using the to be displayed by the categories. Sorry to say but, It requires customization and this is beyond our limitations and support policy.
The other way is you add the size guides for each product.
Best Regards.

d_chParticipantOk I understand. This is a very useful function that should be added in your next theme updates in my opinion as it is very usual for one product to belong at more than 1 categories, so size guide on this case should be set in a more automated way (not per each product for a shop with more than 500 products for example).
March 6, 2020 at 1:54 pm #178360
Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Thanks for sharing the suggestion/feature request with us, I am forwarding this to our development department for considering to add it in the theme, but I am not giving you the guarantee for that because please note that a theme cannot satisfy all requirements as it may occur theme heaviness. Sometimes it may require your own customization. So if the development department finds it fit with the theme environment then surely they will look through it.
Thanks for your understanding.
March 6, 2020 at 1:58 pm #178363
d_chParticipantYes of course I fully understand your thinking.
I just see that from shop owner’s side because this feature is really useful for him in order to set the size guides automatically for the products that belong at more than 1 main category which is very usual at most e-shops out there.
Anyway, I would appreciate it if you could update me in case that your development department may consider adding it to your awesome theme.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Please consider the option to hide / chose the size guide for each product individually https://gyazo.com/62970724b27b3c425a28b3f9b94a4136
So you can assign one and the same size guide to different categories and hide or show another size guide to the products you need.
Best Regards

d_chParticipantYes I know this option, I just asked if there was maybe a way to assign size guide for products which belong to more than 1 category automatically and not per each product.
Anyway, thank you very much for your total advice.
March 7, 2020 at 11:09 am #178506
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
No, there is no option, unfortunately. Such a feature can be hardly ever implemented.
