Slider displays white space underneath on one or two slides

My slider on the top of my homepage displays a white space under a slide but only the first time it displays. Once you cycle through the slides and get to it again it is the correct size with no white space. I have attached screenshots.
The slider is just an edited version of the demo (home-light-slider).
