pharmacy1ParticipantHi.
How can I make the themes slider containerr to have the size of the image that is used inside ?For now , the container has bigger dimensions (in height) and this causes missalignments in responsiveness (in different browsers sizes in desktop view).
Thank you.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
You can set the slider height from Dashboard >> Slides >> Slider edit the slider that you are using and set the height.

pharmacy1ParticipantI have set this setting ( in my case I have set desktop to 600 beacause I use 1920×600 slides) , but the size of the container is always bigger. then we have problems when we decrease the window size of the browser.

pharmacy1ParticipantI give you an example in the image attached.
If the browsers window gets smaller (or the monitor has smaller dimensions) the slider get cutted in the outer areas, if the slide option is set to “cover” or “inherit”.
If we set the slides option to “contain” then the image is not cutted but blank spaces appear on the upper or the lower part of the slider.
This is not happening with other slider plugins , like Smart Slider 3.Attachments:

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Our Slider is Responsive on all devices. Sorry but this is not the correct way of testing the responsiveness by resizing the browser windows. Please test on real devices. Or using any Responsive online tool like: https://www.responsinator.com/

pharmacy1ParticipantI didn’t mean that we have problems on mobile or tablet view. We are OK there.
The problem is when we see the site in desktop resolutions lower than 1920×1080 (our slide has pictures with 1920×600 resolution)
In that case we have two types of problems:
1. If the slide is set to “Inherit” or “Cover” then the slides image is being cropped on the left and right area to fit the screen (the slider is full width)
2. If the slide is set to “Contain” than in every lower screen dimension the picture is not cropped and this is OK. But then the section that is located just under the slider is placed in a more distant place comparing with the place that is being set in a 1920×1080 resolutionThis missalignment does not exist with other slider plugins , like Smart Slider 3 .
The normal would be that the slider would keep the image to be full width with no cropping AND not make the section of the page that is under the slider to “move away” on desktop monitors with small resolutions.
Look at the two images we attach.
The first one shows a small resolution monitor and the second one a 1920×1080 resolution monitor where the layout is optimal.Attachments:

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Our slides images are set as background for the block of fixed height and responsive width.
So if you want to always have uncropped images then try to use our banners carousel instead.

Because it is not possible to achieve with our slider element.

pharmacy1ParticipantThank you for your answer.
It is a pity that your Slider Element doesn’t support variable height in “contain” type slides.
This would be the perfect combination (fully responsive for height and width) because , out of this , the element is really good in terms of performance and features. Please consider adding this feature in future updates.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
For now and I am forwarding this to our development department for considering to add it in the theme,
but I am not giving you the guarantee for that because please note that a theme cannot satisfy all requirements as it may cause theme heaviness.Sometimes it may require your own customization. So if the development department finds it fit with the theme environment then surely they will look through it.
