aniceguy111ParticipantHi
After importing the website and template, the website is acting weirdly. Clicking on any option doesn’t open it, have to refresh the page and try again till it works. Cannot import the products and hangs while importing for long time. Cleared my browser cache but same issue. Edited the product import csv file to minimal columns but still not working. Tried fewer products to make it work but doesn’t work at all. Trying to add the attributes and their terms but taking long time to load and have to try many times. Not sure what’s the issue but this is happening only in this staging website. The original site is working fine.
Can you please look into it and fix it? Let me know if need anything from my side? If needed we can delete everything on this staging and re import the theme again as my work doesn’t go smooth.
Thanks

aniceguy111ParticipantJust to add up, the original site is different theme and we are upgrading the website with woodmart theme and working on staging site only.
February 6, 2026 at 10:17 am #707451Hello,
Thank you so much for contacting our support center.
To better assist you, could you kindly test the functionality with default WordPress themes such as TwentyTwenty or WooCommerce Storefront? This will help us determine whether the issue stems from our theme or elsewhere.
Regards

aniceguy111ParticipantHi
I have raised the issue with the hosting provider but they said the website works fine when on basic theme.
I have created a new staging website with scratch means i have deleted everything (themes/plugins/pages etc.) and cleared it’s database as well (no plugin tables and posts etc.).
Used theme 2025 which worked fine and fast.
Then as soon as I installed the woodmart theme, the pages keep on crashing. Even the import failed few times.
Now, when i click on to view website, for 1 or 2 times the page doesn’t load and shows error and then it loads. Then click on pages/products the page crashes and then loads fine, this happens on all pages across the website. Means the issue is coming from the woodmart theme. Can you check on this newly created staging site?

aniceguy111ParticipantJust to update you that I have raised the issue with the 123reg where our website is hosted and they have increased PHP memory size to 512MB which somehow helped in pages not crashing but they are still taking lots of time to load.
Not sure if there is any other change you need on the hosting end or not, but website import on the fresh staging site shouldn’t take that longer.
I am still in contact with 123reg and if need any change on their end you can tell us other you can access the staging site on the link shared in my last message and check yourself how long it take to load the options on the wordpress dashboard like pages, posts, products, media etc….
Will appreciate a quick support.
Thanks
February 9, 2026 at 10:27 am #707759Hello,
We just activated the default WooCommerce Storefront theme and see that your website doesn’t work correctly. It takes to long to load the pages. For example, here is a screenshot when the shop page is loaded in ~24s while it should load in less than 1s. You need to solve this problem first and then test how it works with WoodMart.

Kind Regards

aniceguy111ParticipantHi
I have checked the staging website and it loads fine on my end with 2/3secs and no matter how many times I refresh the page or click on other options, the load time doesn’t increase. So, this means the website loads fine with the storefront theme.

aniceguy111ParticipantAfter testing above with storefront theme, I have again made woodmart theme as active and tested homepage, shop page and category page and the difference is too high.
Both testing done on same browser and same time without changing anything accept the active theme.
As soon, as it goes to woodmart, the load time changed for each page. This is fresh imported theme without editing anything.

aniceguy111ParticipantAgain, switched back to Storefront and the load time is 3-5secs on different pages (screenshot attached).
Looks like the issue is within woodmart theme files.

Yes, you’ve shown on your screenshots that the server response time is approximately 5 seconds or more with the Storefront theme. This value is excessively high and should not exceed 1 second for optimal server performance. Our theme will not perform well in such an environment, and it is not something that our theme has influence on. If you still believe that this issue is caused by WoodMart, you can request a refund.

aniceguy111ParticipantHi
I have sent 3 different messages with the screenshot. In first message it showed that with storefront theme it is taking 2,3 seconds to load pages. Then I switched it to woodmart theme and in 2nd message, the screenshot shows the load time moves to 27-28 seconds to load different pages. Then I switched back to storefront theme where it took 3-5seconds to load different pages. All this was done at same time after one another. That’s why I requested you to check if the theme is causing something otherwise it should be loading different pages in within 3-5seconds which is acceptable for me.
I will consult with my team and get back to you on how to proceed with it.
Thanks
February 11, 2026 at 9:59 am #708115Hello,
Even 3-5 seconds for server response is too high. With an empty theme like Storefront it should load in 300ms-1s. Also, when I tested your website with Storefront, it loaded sometimes in 15-25s, and I have shown this on the screenshot provided earlier. It means that your website is not stable. It is not caused by the theme itself.
Kind Regards

aniceguy111ParticipantHi
I understand that it might not be the theme and we also like this theme that’s why purchased it. We can do another testing and currently i have cleared everything from new-staging-site. Means it is with default 2025 theme and without any data on the website and on the database. I have taken the backup. So if you want to test by installing any other theme you can go with it. and then you can test by installing woodmart theme to see how it will impact the website. Before installing woodmart you can try anyother theme for the difference.
You can use same details which I have shared in my last message. I just want to go to the bottom of the issue to resolve it. Currently website is loading perfectly as there is no data on it.
February 12, 2026 at 10:31 am #708289Hello,
It looks like it loads normally with empty pages. But once we install and activate WooCommerce (without WoodMart), your server can’t handle even an empty shop page. Check the following screenshots
