Slow Image Uploads in Backend After Update to Version 8.4.1

Hello,

I would like to report a performance issue we noticed after updating the theme from version 8.3.8 to 8.4.1.
Since the update, uploading images in the WordPress backend has become significantly slower than before. Even a simple image file now takes approximately 10+ seconds to upload, whereas prior to the update the process was much faster and more responsive.

We would like to ask:

Have other users reported similar behavior after updating to version 8.4.1?

Is this a known bug or compatibility issue related to the latest version?

Could you please investigate whether there is anything that can be adjusted or fixed to restore the previous upload speed?

This slowdown is affecting our daily workflow, so any guidance or solution would be greatly appreciated.

The issue appears also on the staging site, which you can test as you like. I will give you access below.

Hello,

Please check how it works with the default WordPress theme and Woocommerce Storefront theme just to check whether the issue is with our theme or not. Also, please check the site with our theme but only with the theme default plugins activate, and deactivate all the 3rd party plugins from the site.

If it works fine with the default WordPress theme then let me know I will further check on your site to give you a possible solution.
