Smooth transition between background images, possible?

Dear,

Is there a way to smooth the transition between images in the background?

In my case, it’s the same image that repeats itself but I’d like to find a way to smooth like with a shadow or anything else in between, so that the transition isn’t too much strongly visible.

Sorry, but there is no such option in our theme. It might be possible with additional code customization but we don’t have an instruction for this.
