Spanish translation without plugins

I would like to translate custom texts such as “Search for products” in my page to spanish. I read a topic about this and it advices to install Loco Translate pluggin. Some reason this is creating problems in my site (Warning: Loco requires the “mbstring” PHP extension. Ask your hosting provider to install it), since the custom texts I need to translate is nothing but a couple, I would like to know wether it is possible to translate this without a pluggin (something such as code or something like that).

My texts are “Search for product” on the search bar, and “Show” in one of the filters (I send a screenshot).

You can translate/rewrite all theme and plugin texts via PO file in WordPress. Here is a video tutorial that should help you translate your website texts with a Loco Translate plugin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3NsDdMzsls&list=PLMw6W4rAaOgKKv0oexGHzpWBg1imvrval&index=3

Please check the video tutorial to see how to save the translation file correctly. You can remove the plugin and translations would remain. Also, translations would remain after each theme update.

As I’m saying (please re-read my post if you ever did) Loco Translate IS NOT WORKING FOR ME, I already said why. Can you please provide a NON PLUGIN solution such as code?

You can try another plugin, however I am afraid you would get the same result.
