Square Images please. I’ve seen posts for years of people asking for this.
Please allow the following:
– The single product gallery images to honor the image ratio set in Customizer. For some reason it is not following the ratio set there.
– Also would be nice if we had the ability to make all the images throughout the site (archive, single product pages, thumbnails, etc) an exact ratio we decide. I’d like for all of my images everywhere to be square. Whether JS or CSS is used to achieve this I can’t figure out how to override this mess. eCommerce sites always have users load an array of images of different ratios and sizes but from the frontend, we as designers want some consistency and control.

The image ratio set in the Customizer mainly applies to product archives, while the single product gallery may not strictly follow the same ratio.
To achieve square images across the site Navigate to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Images > set ratio to 1:1

I already had it set to 1:1 at Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Images, but the image gallery thumbnails still remained at their native ratio. This problem occurs on multiple sites using the Woodmart theme. There are CSS overrides that can fix this if you guys build it in your theme options as a parameter to enable / disable, or even have the option for the user to choose from a few ratios as options. Some people prefer 1:1, some prefer 4:3, and some prefer 4:5, etc.

At the moment, there is no built-in option to force a fixed ratio (like square) for these thumbnails. Please share the product page url so i will check and give you a possible css code.
