I created products early on when I was building the website. But started to mess with how they looked, to the point where they are now essentially just normal page, I have now created more traditional ecomm product pages.. But when you click SHOP tab from menu these ‘product’ pages still show up and it’s confusing to anyone who is looking to buy.
I want to keep them as they are though as they are heavy with keywords and we are already ranking top 5 in a very conpetitive industry.
    I sent links below..

LINK 1 is the old product page which is now essentially a content page..
LINK 2 is the newer product pages.

I would like to make sure the old products like LINK 1 do not show up within the shop section…
    Any ideas?

    Hello,

It looks like you might be using a custom layout for the old product pages. I recommend checking the Layouts section in your theme settings.

    • Navigate to: Woodmart > Layouts
    • Identify if there is a custom layout assigned to these old product pages.
    • Disable the layout and you will see the new traditional ecomm product pages.

If you have any questions feel free to contact us.

Hi yes that is correct, they are custom layout..
The issue is they are now seo active.. I don’t want to delete them, or make new pages and copy that content over.

Is there a way to disable certain products from showing up in the shop section?
    Does this make sense?

    Hello,

You can hide the old product pages without deleting them.

    Use “Hidden” in Catalog Visibility

    • Go to Products in WooCommerce.
    • Click Quick Edit on the product.
    • Set Visibility to Hidden and update.

This will remove the product from the shop page but keep it live.

    Hope this helps!

But ar they still visibale in MENU and more importantly can google seo still view them?
I am guessing by clicking it on ‘search’ it means still visible to google search engines?

    Hello,

If a product is set to ‘Hidden’ in catalog visibility, it will not appear on the shop page, category pages, or search results within your site. However, it can still be accessed via direct URL and search engines like Google may still index it.

To prevent Google from indexing it, you can use an SEO plugin to mark the page “noindex”.

Also you can remove it from the menu manually under Appearance > Menus.

    Best Regards,
