Stopping image Hover on related products

HI Team,

How do I, using theme settings, stop the single product template to highlight the images on the Related Products listing when the mouse hovers over the images? I want to this have no effect when the mouse hovers over the top of the image. I also want the images to stop showing the whitespace at the top.
