Strange layout of register / login page

The layout of the register / login page is very strange, as the main information is shown on the right side and there are no tabs as expected when choosing the “activate tabs for login / registration pages”

The layout works as expected when the “Enable tabs for login and register forms” option is activated from Theme Settings > My account. Once enabled, users can switch between Login and Register forms by clicking on the respective tabs — the fields will update dynamically based on the selection.
