Strange space behind product main photo

Please try to deactivate “Main carousel auto height” in the Theme Settings > Product page > Images

How can we:
– Decrease the size of Gallery thumbnails so more thumbnails can be viewed?
– Make them align in the middle?

Unfortunately, there is no option to increase the number of thumbnails.

Please have a look at the screen https://gyazo.com/b42f7f133ccaadc1e1b8402106c05e8d the images take all the space and there is no room to center them.
