ToriTori38ParticipantHello,
I have uploaded my logo and other SVG files to my websote without an issue.
However I have just tried to create a page using an element from WPBakery and none of the SVG files display (I tried various different elements – none of their SVG files worked). I checked some posts and saw other people had the same problem. I created a php.ini file and added allow_url_fopen = on but that did not help.
Do you have any ideas?

Artem TemosKeymasterHi,
Could you please send us a link to your website where we can see this issue?
Kind Regards

ToriTori38ParticipantHi Artem,
I am setting this up on a development website so I can show you. In the mean time look at the image attached. I did a test. I can load the SVG on the page directly under the WPBakery theme element in a “single image” element with no issues. So this is nothing to do with our server setup.
However no SVG will show inside the WPbakery prebuilt theme elements. I have tried several and all have the same problem.

ToriTori38ParticipantIf I however try and add an “information box” with an SVG icon, then it does not display. An element with a font awesme icon will display however.
So there is some issue with the elements which offer an SVG display. They do not display the SVG.
Yes I have unloaded all plugins except for yours, and that makes no difference.

ToriTori38ParticipantHi there,
OK I have added details to our staging site below.
It’s a strange problem. If I add the SVG file via the “Text Block” element then it displays no problem. But if I use one of the other WPBakery elements or “single image” element I cannot get it to display.

Artem TemosKeymasterIt seems that
file_get_contents
function for URLs is disabled on your server. You need to contact your provider and ask to enable this option. If it will not help, please send us your FTP access as well.July 17, 2020 at 3:15 pm #211995
ToriTori38ParticipantHi Elise,
Our hosting has said that is enabled on our server. So it is not that I think.
I have added some FTP details for you in the private area.July 18, 2020 at 8:38 am #212084
Artem TemosKeymasterTry to disable the authorization on your website that comes from the server.
July 18, 2020 at 8:47 am #212088
ToriTori38ParticipantHello Artem,
What do you mean the authorization? Do you mean the password protected directory?
July 18, 2020 at 9:06 am #212094
ToriTori38ParticipantHello. I removed the password protection and actually the icons showed up but the WPBakery elements are now broken across the whole site. See image attached.
This must be because of something you did. Can you please revert my site to how it was before?
So it seems the problems with icons are because of the password protected directory. I will disable that (but first please can you undo the changes you made to this site).
Many thanks

Artem TemosKeymasterPlease, check how it works now.

ToriTori38ParticipantGreat working now. I will check again for the icons by removing the password protected directory and let you know.
Thanks again for the support.

ToriTori38ParticipantHi Artem,
Yes icons now showing and it was the issue of password protected directory. Thanks again for helping me to solve that.
