Swatch images stopped working after latest upgrade

Hi,

I have set images to show as swatches. But after your latest update today, only colour swatches show up.

We had similar problem last time (#137324) which you gave code edit for. But that code is no longer in file.

I have tested disabling all other modules etc.

Please advise.

No, that is not applicable as I have set “Use images from product variations” On.

And all my products have variations images for each colour. But only 1st one showing. image. Rest show just colour swatch

… You can see attached I have added images to ALL variations in product.

But on shop page 1st variation image is showing rest just colour.

I am very sorry for the mistake, please disregard the first sentence “Yes, you can create HTML block”

In order to show product variation, you need to add images into “Image preview for this value” of the Colour Attribute item. I have added one image just for you to show: https://prnt.sc/p6bjfc and in result, the swatch image is taken from the product variation https://prnt.sc/p6bjm2

No this is not correct.

You are trying to tell me how to set an image instead of a colour for swatches. This is not what the problem is.

Look at Theme Settings > Shop > Attribute Settings. I have set this ON.
“If enabled swatches buttons will be filled with images choosed for product variations and NOT with images uploaded to attribute terms.”

This means that Images from Product Variations (as added when you make Product) will be shown. This is a Woodmart feature and was woking fine before upgrade.

Now, only the first variation shows ok. The rest it just shows colour swatch (which it should not).

In order to show images from the products variations you need:

1. Enable Theme Settings > Shop > Attribute swatches > “Use images from product variations”

2. Add image into “Image preview for this value” of the attribute item.

3. Clear the color in of the attribute item

4. Add images to product variations.

I have added the image to Black color of the Attribute and cleared the color, as you can see the image is taken from the product variation. https://prnt.sc/p6me6t Now I have set everything as it was before.

Yes, the setting was turned OFF by me as it was not working.

The problem is now fixed.

I believe the problem was Product Attribute, Configure Terms settings had been changed.
We did not change it, it was always working fine.
Only AFTER upgrade it stopped working.

If you have customer with same problem, ask them to look at the Product Attribute, Configure Terms settings and check/save again the setting for each Attribute Terms (e.g each colour)
