Swatches as an image from product variations missed WPML

Hello,

I have a problem with images swatches for the translated products with WPML.

When I duplicate a product in the second language everything is fine, but the only things that are not duplicated are the images for the color swatches (pa_color).

How can I fix this?

Hello,

You need to have the Media addon of the WPML plugin and install the WPML Woocommerce plugin to enable the translation of the attributes and attribute items.

I have all installed for WPML, including Media and Woocommerce WPML, but the images for the Swatches don’t duplicate.

Yes,

if you go in Dashboard > WooCommerce > Attributes > Colori disponibili.

You can see that for the Italian you have all the Preview color images,
but if you switch to English no one has the Preview color images.

So what’s happened when I duplicated the product with WPML Translation management.
Everything is duplicated, including all the images for variation for example, BUT not the images for the attributes swatches.

This happens for color attributes, but the same for Categories swatches.

How is possible to fix it?

You can do anything of test with this website because it’s my test website, where I test all the updates before replicating them to the online site.

so, what you are telling me is that the images for attributes need to upload manually and they can’t be Duplicated as the other images?

I understand correctly?

If yes, your theme is not completely compatible with WPML unfortunately, that’s so bad.

Please let me know if you have some fixes because it’s huge work to upload each image for attribute for the second language manually after the duplication.

Please enable the translation for meta as shown on the screen: https://take.ms/WAAp4

Then enable taxonomy: https://take.ms/Pj0DS and all the images would be copied into translation.

I did what you said, but nothing. It’s not working.

For a test, I deleted all the second language products (English).
Then I deleted all the attributes for Colors in English.
I used WPML Translation manager to Duplicate all the products to English.
But the images for the attribute colors are not still duplicated

How can fix it?

As soon as you configure the WPML, the new translation would be translated properly. Now you can delete all the translations and create again, in this case the images should be added properly.

I cannot login your site to check the settings, please try to tranlsate one attribute and check, if there are any problems, provide the valid access.
