for some reasons, the URL related to a layout has the prefix “woodmart_layout”.
Infact, to open a layout page I’ve to write, for instance, “https://acinolilla.com/woodmart_layout/carta-regalo/”
My permalink settings are in the image attached.

The question is: how can I remove the “woodmart_layout” string in the url and have only a “https://acinolilla.com/carta-regalo/” for instance?

You can not remove the woodmart_layout from the layout URL. It is the custom post type of the theme and it will always show like this. it will not show on the frontend, it only shows when you view the Layout which you have added on the backend, it will not show on the frontend for the users.

ok, so there is something that I do not understand now, while in the staging all worked fine.

The basic assumption is that the layout page url of the gift card is “/carta-regalo”.
Given this, I’ve the following cases:
– logged in as admin, in the front-end, if I go to https://acinolilla.com/carta-regalo/ I get a 404 error. if I go to https://acinolilla.com/woodmart_layout/carta-regalo/ works fine
– not logged in, using either https://acinolilla.com/woodmart_layout/carta-regalo/ or https://acinolilla.com/carta-regalo/ give a 404 error.

what am I doing wrong?

Hello,

You need to check the specific condition products on the frontend which you have used in the layout. You cannot share the URL directly.

I associated the gift card layout to a specific product category. Look at the image attached.
Therefore, how can I use the https://acinolilla.com/carta-regalo/ instead of https://acinolilla.com/woodmart_layout/carta-regalo/?

solved! i use the link of the gift card using /shop/ so that your /woodmart_layout/ disappears.
Anyway I think this is a strong limitation of your theme, and you should have a work around for that
