The new review reminder feature is not working as I expect it to

    Hello,

    I tried to use the new review reminder feature that became available in one of the theme update of this year. I set it to 14 days, but it started sending review requests sometimes the day the purchase was made. And I received emails and calls from angry customers, that told me to wait for their order to be delivered to them before asking for a review.

    In the mean time I disabled the feature, but would like to get this sorted out so that I may use it.

    The review reminder email is only sent after the order status is set to “Completed”, not from the purchase date.

    So if your reminder was sent the same day, it means the orders were being marked Completed immediately. Make sure orders only move to Completed after they are delivered.

    Ok, it makes sens.
    We usually process it and set it to complete the day an order is placed.
    But then, shouldn’t the “Sending delay” option delay the send to X days after it being set to complete.
    Maybe I do not understand what exactly it is supposed to do.

    Hello,

    The “Sending delay” starts counting only after the order is marked as Completed.

    So if an order is completed the same day it’s placed, the delay begins from that moment.

    If you set 14 days, the reminder will be sent 14 days after the order status becomes Completed — not after the purchase date.

    Right now, since you manually mark orders as Completed immediately, the delay effectively starts on the same day.

    Ok, I get that. But it is not respecting the delay. It should have sent it in 7 days after the order received the completed status. Instead it sent it imediattly

    I have visited your site, set the review reminder time to 2 minutes, placed an order, and marked it as completed. However, I did not receive any emails for order completion, processing, or the review reminder.
