Theme does not show webp format

Websites need image optimization to adapt to seo, so create webp files. I replaced ![]()
tags with <picture> using the plugin, but it didn’t work.
For better seo, ask for help, how to show webp files. Note (rewrite rules are not required. Rewrite rules do not actually load the webp file and cannot reduce the page size)

I use the “imagify” plugin to try to make the basel theme support images in webp format. But webp format images don’t work in Basel theme.

I do not understand what you were saying. You can view the catalog page and product detail page on my site. Check the source code to see that there is no picture that supports webp format.

It seems that this plugin is not fully compatible with our theme. It doesn’t replace all img tags with picture. Sorry, but we don’t have a workaround for this. We will consider this improvement for our future updates.
