Theme Glitching, Demo Not Displaying and Page Builder Compatibility

Hello WoodMart Support Team,

I’m experiencing several issues while setting up the WoodMart theme on my WordPress site:

1. After installing the theme, its working but after receving warning only the header displays — the rest of the page is blank. I also received a warning stating:
“The PHP Max Input Vars parameter is set to 1000 which is not enough for our Theme Settings. You need to increase it to 2000 or higher in your PHP configuration.”
I’m unsure how to resolve this and worry it might be causing issues saving theme settings.
2. I discovered that the Elementor plugin was causing layout glitches, so I disabled it and installed WPBakery Page Builder, which I understand is the recommended builder for WoodMart.
3. Despite switching themes and activating WPBakery, the site continues to glitch, and elements from the previous theme still appear.
4. I have the WoodMart Core plugin activated, and I’m unsure if it’s affecting WPBakery or causing conflicts.
5. I tried importing a new demo, but the homepage still shows the old blog layout instead of the new demo page.
6. Even after setting a static homepage under Settings → Reading, the new demo page does not appear on the front end.
7. I also attempted to create a new homepage manually with WPBakery, but it’s not displaying correctly.
8. I would like clarification on whether Elementor or WPBakery is more compatible and recommended for use with WoodMart, as I want to choose the best page builder for this theme.

Could you please guide me on:
* The compatibility and recommendation between Elementor and WPBakery for WoodMart
* How to fully reset and import a fresh demo correctly
* How to ensure the new demo homepage displays properly

Contact the hosting support and ask them to increase the “PHP Max Input Vars” value to 10000, then check how it works.

If it doesn’t help you to import the dummy content, send me access to the admin panel so I can check what is wrong there. Additionally, I suggest using either Elementor or Gutenberg editor.

As per the previous suggestion, I increased the PHP Max Input Vars value to 10000 using the user.ini file from my cPanel.

After that, I deleted the WPBakery plugin and installed the Elementor plugin. However, my Home Page is still glitching and not displaying correctly.

Could you please assist me in resolving this issue?

Increase the PHP Time Limit to 180 on your server – https://prnt.sc/srq5eDU7UWIM then after applying the changes on your server, try to import the demo again and let me know.

I have increased the max_execution_time in the php.ini file from 90 to 180 and also added @ini_set(‘max_execution_time’, 180); in the wp-config.php file to support the theme import process.
After that, I encountered a deprecated function warning related to Automattic\WooCommerce\Admin\WCAdminHelper::is_store_page, which has been deprecated since WooCommerce version 9.8.0 in favor of is_current_page_store_page. To suppress this warning, I added a custom error handler at the bottom of the functions.php file in the Woodmart theme directory. The code checks for this specific warning and suppresses it when WP_DEBUG is enabled. Despite these changes, I’m still facing an error after importing the theme, which I’ve attached as a screenshot. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue.

1. If you restore only the values from the database backup, then in theory it should work.
