rafamalkParticipantHello
I’ve just done clean WordPress installation and activate Woodmart theme.
When I save changes in theme setting it don’t take effect. I just see “Settings are successfully saved.” but they don’t.
Please help

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Please make sure that you have the set both the addresses the same as in the screenshot below from Settings >> General.

Then clear the cache and check back.
If the problem continues then deactivate all the third-party plugins and provide admin panel login details of the website to check it myself and help you out accordingly.
Best Regards.

rafamalkParticipantYep, they are the same.
Cache cleared. It’s clean installation so there are no additional plugins.

Artem TemosKeymasterYes, it seems like your server blocks these requests. You need to contact your hosting provider and ask them to check this from their side.

rafamalkParticipantHello. I have blocked ModSecurity for whole domain. There are no new errors in Modsecurity but I still can’t save settings in theme settings.
October 7, 2020 at 8:43 am #231450
Artem TemosKeymasterIt means that something other is still blocking this request. Consult with your hosting provider on this matter.
October 7, 2020 at 11:48 am #231497
rafamalkParticipantOh, they’ve checked and the mod_security and php settings were checked from the server side, e.g. the theme of “max input variables” have been changed according to your preferences.
The theme comes up with no logs and reports no errors. After skipping this plugin we are able to make changes in a template which in consequence will eliminate the option to block the changes-making on a website by apache modules.
Could you please check this one more time or describe what exactly is blocking the option of changes-making from the server side?October 7, 2020 at 12:28 pm #231511
Artem TemosKeymasterSorry, but we don’t quite understand. Have you solved the problem with settings blocking from the server? What exactly should we check?
There are no logs from the theme because it blocks the request tooptions.php
core WordPress file and our theme doesn’t get any response if it is blocked. We made a conclusion that it is blocked by server because we had a lot of similar requests before. You can find them on our support forum and 100% of these requests were solved from the server-side.
October 7, 2020 at 12:31 pm #231512
rafamalkParticipantNo. I din’t solved the problem. Hosting crew checked and they think it’s not server problem. If you think it’s please say what should they fix.
October 7, 2020 at 12:32 pm #231513
Artem TemosKeymasterYou wrote initially that you got an error in your hosting security center. That is why we concluded that it is blocked by the server. And that is what they should check now and also be sure that
mod_security
is not activated.October 7, 2020 at 12:38 pm #231517
rafamalkParticipantI turn off modsecirity yesterday and I install WP and Theme again on different addres and it still deoesn’t work.
Yes mod_security is disabled.

Artem TemosKeymasterWe see that the settings are working correctly now. Please, check from your side.
October 7, 2020 at 1:00 pm #231528
rafamalkParticipantYep, now it works fine. What did you do?
October 7, 2020 at 1:00 pm #231529
Artem TemosKeymasterWe didn’t touch anything on your website. Most likely it started working after some changes on the server.
October 7, 2020 at 1:02 pm #231530
rafamalkParticipantI checked it 10 minutes ago and it didnt work fine. I dont understand…
