tedeschigioielliParticipantHi, we purchased a new theme license in order to allow our theme to update. The theme version is stuck on version 5.2 and the old license went lost, hence we bought a new one.
We followed these steps but the update failed saying that the download wasn’t successful ‘Forbidden’. Could you please help us in updating the theme?
1. Go to Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Theme License and deactivate the theme.
2. Go to Dashboard -> Updates and click on Check Again.
3. Activate the theme with your purchase code again.
4. Go to Dashboard -> Updates and click on Check Again.
5. Try to update the theme via Appearance -> Themes or via Dashboard -> Updates.- This topic was modified 2 months ago by tedeschigioielli.

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Thank you so much for purchasing our theme and contacting our support center.
Please deactivate the theme license on your website and send us your admin access and purchase code so we can check this for you.
Kind Regards

tedeschigioielliParticipantThanks for your quick reply. Theme license successfully deactivated, I attach the info in private.

Artem TemosKeymasterAs we can see, the theme is still activated. Note that if you can’t deactivate it then you have a nulled version of the theme installed. In this case, you need to download our theme from ThemeForest and reinstall it completely.

tedeschigioielliParticipantYou are right, when I refresh the page after deactivation it says it’s still active. Which steps should I follow to reinstall it completely? Will reinstalling the theme affect the current settings of the website layout and appearance? Thanks

tedeschigioielliParticipantI don’t believe the theme is nulled, as we’re confident that the website developer purchased the license when the site was created.
Is there any other reason why the theme would remain active after refreshing, even though it displays the message ‘theme license successfully deactivated’? I’ve attached a screenshot for reference.- This reply was modified 2 months ago by tedeschigioielli.

Artem TemosKeymasterYour theme’s code has a code that makes “fake” activation. That is why you can see it as activated. And because it is not activated with real purchase code you can’t update it properly.
That is why you need to download the theme from ThemeForest and install it via Appearance -> Themes -> Add new to replace all the files.
Kind Regards

tedeschigioielliParticipantHi, even after installing the theme manually the deactivation was still failing. I figured out it required to be deactivated from my xtemos profile first. After doing that everything worked. Thanks for your support.

Artem TemosKeymasterIt doesn’t need to be deactivated on our website to make it work. Anyway, we are glad that you sorted it out. Feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
Kind Regards
