Theme update to version 6.0

Hi!

I have read the guide for updating the theme to version 6 https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/faq-guides/woodmart-update-6-0-explained/
But I still didn’t understand, can I update the theme, and how will the update affect the existing site? Will the site break after the update?
I’m using the Woodmart child theme.

Could you help me and tell me how to properly update the theme and not break the existing site?

Hello,

It will not break anything on your website if you don’t have any custom code in the child theme. Otherwise, you will need to revise all your code and make sure that it is compatible with our 6.0 version.

Yes, I have some custom code in my child theme. Also, there is some custom code in the “Theme Settings” under the “Custom CSS” menu under the “Global Custom CSS” and “Custom CSS for Desktop” blocks.
This is difficult for me, so I will not update the theme.

You can keep the current version if you want. But our recommendation is to update the theme anyway and revise your code to make sure that your website is up to date and well-optimized.
