arcticaParticipantHello,
I’d like to cap the height of the thumbnails on the product list. It might help me to achieve a similar size of each of them as they have been uploaded in different sizes.
If you have a look at the page https://sklepetujo.cfolks.pl/kategoria-produktu/etui-na-telefon/etui-samsung/etui-samsung-galaxy-a40/ you can see that the fist image is much bigger then the others. I have shown it in the screenshot size_thumb_issue.png. It has a height of 609px in spite of the fact that the maximum height of thumbnails is set to 300px. So , why it’s happening ? I’d like the system to download thumbnails below or equal to 300px.
As far as I’ve checked, wordpress generated many thumbnails , including those of the size of 148x300px, which would be perfect. I’d like that size to be downloaded instead of 300x609px. Perharps I could assign different file (size) to to the product thumbnail ? If wordpress generates many sizes of the same image, it could possible, I imagine… Is it ?
I would appreciate if you went over my screenshots that clear up the issue. Could you help to figure out the solution on this ?
Kind regards,

arcticaParticipantI’ve checked but I’m afraid I cannot figure out from the manual how to cap the height to 300px . Or how to “force” wordpress to download not heigher thumbnails that 300px. I’d be very greatful if you take a look on my issue once again

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
It is not possible to set the fixed height for the image due to the image’s nature.
You can set the image size to upload and cropping, all these steps would not make a nice view, unfortunately.
The best way is to upload images of the same size and proportion for all the products.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

arcticaParticipantDear Ellis,
It’s absolutely clear that I can’t even the images height automatically. What puzzles me is if I could assign a different size of a thumbnail to the product image.
Please do to the product list over here and take a look at the first image (screenshot 1): https://sklepetujo.cfolks.pl/kategoria-produktu/etui-na-telefon/etui-samsung/etui-samsung-galaxy-a40/
There are at least 3 thumbnails created for this product. One of the has size of 150x305px (Screenshot_6.png). Here is a direct link to it: https://sklepetujo.cfolks.pl/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/1-2-150×305.jpg
It would be fantastic If could assign the thumbnails with the size 150×305.jpgto the product. I just need to “tell” wordpress to select different thumbnails than it does now. Could you indicate to me a relevant file or code I could change on my own to achieve this ? Screenshot_7.png
Best wishces,

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You can configure the thumbnail image size for the product page in Theme Settings > Single product > Images.
Images for the grid can be configured as per this manual:
https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/image-size-and-content-alignment-in-a-product-grid/I am afraid there are no other options.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Best Regards
