Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You can translate all theme and plugin texts via PO file in WordPress. Here is a video tutorial that should help you translate your website texts with a Loco Translate plugin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3NsDdMzsls&list=PLMw6W4rAaOgKKv0oexGHzpWBg1imvrval&index=3
We suggest you to keep translated files in wp-content/languages/themes/woodmart-pt_PT.po folder.
Best Regards

leveltgpParticipantHello, I have downloaded the .po file in my language “Greek” and everything seems to be translated but the titles in checkout page “SHOPPING CART – CHECKOUT – ORDER COMPLETE” is not included without translation in the .po file. So that’s why I asked you if the translation of this titles could be somewhere else in theme settings.

leveltgpParticipantHello, thank you for your help so far but I want to say that : In your previous answer where you say : We suggest you to keep translated files in wp-content/languages/themes/woodmart-pt_PT.po folder, there is no such a language file in this path. Also for this answer : Try to search in Loco > Plugins > Woocommerce , I installed Loco plugin and it required to activate in php extensions the “mbstring”
I did activate it but after the activation disappeared in all products all atributes I have created for products except only the default attributes color, ean, mpn etc. Disabling “mbstring” all attributes came back to product pages as it was. How can I solve these?March 21, 2019 at 7:14 am #114063
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
If it is a code and not the Woocommerce plugin, you need to translate this by means of Poedit program.
Best Regards

leveltgpParticipantHello, thank you for your answer but as I mentioned to my post it needs to be translated in product page the word compare, in checkout page the titles ” CHECKOUT, SHOPPING CART, etc. But you propose me to use Locotranslate which needs the “mbstring” php extension to work. So after enabling this extension all custom attributes from product page was lost and only the default attributes was visible , ean mpn, color…. So a solution is needed why with the mbstring php extension enabled, product attributes dissappeared?

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
If the Loco Translate doesn’t work on your website, we suggested you to use Poedit software instead and created translations files manually. Just generate translations files for the theme and for required plugins and put them into the
wp-content/languages/themes/
folder. https://poedit.net/Regards

leveltgpParticipantHello, just want to inform you something you should know and inform us in similar issues.I found few translations I need it and was not in any language files, but on your functions.php file in section : $translations = array(
There are many translations arrays there of your theme don’t you know about this?
You do not know if your theme has array that should be translated in specific files?
Iam also looking to translate Search button where it says “Search for Products” and bello says ” Start typing to see products you are looking for” and thw word “Compare” in product page. So according the info above do you know where this can be found and translated?March 24, 2019 at 10:16 am #114539
Artem TemosKeymasterHi,
This array is required to generate translations string for texts that come with our Core plugin.
“Search for Products” and bello says ” Start typing to see products you are looking for” are located in our main woodmart.pot file. So if you translate our theme with Poedit or Loco Translate, you should be able to find those words there as well.Regards

leveltgpParticipantLoco Translate as I mentioned above, in my earlier post request php extension “mbstring” which I did enable but after that all product features I create was lost from product page and only the default features was displayed : ean, mpn etc. Also Loco translate it is not compatible with latest wp version till today. So any other solution?
March 24, 2019 at 6:23 pm #114621
leveltgpParticipantAlso I did make translations through poedit in your woodmart.pot file and I uploadeded to the same folder as files : woodmart.pot & .mo but translation did not work. So can you tell me whst name of the translated files should I give so your theme to be translated as i want?
March 24, 2019 at 6:24 pm #114622
leveltgpParticipantSorry “woodmart.po & .mo are the translated files.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Loco is compatible with WP, our theme and all the related plugins.
We suggest you to keep translated files in wp-content/languages/themes/woodmart-pt_PT.po folder.
We cannot recommend anything as we have not tested any.
Best regards
