supergapParticipantHi,
I can’t find a valid way to translate (that is to have another image for secondary language) the main logo: user left part of the site. I try a lot of ways, I check it with WPML. Standard ways don’t work.
Following WPML support I try first using Media Translation. I set a translation for the logo image. But nothing happens. Then They suggest me to use String Translation (Please look at the attached files). S I search with image url, and I find the logo (also the position is ok, because is the same ID of the Header I use). So I translate, by giving the url of the secondary language logo. So I was convinced I found the way. WPML said ‘translation complete’. If I look to translations, everything is ok (attached picture)….Nothing. it doesn’t work.
Of course: cache cleaned, Deactivate plugins, check logo urls, check in media files, asked again to WPML staff (send them debug text=ok). Really nothing to do.Have you got a different and valid way to get logo translation? I’m really going crazy.
Many thanksAttachments:

supergapParticipantHi,
Yes done. It was of the trials I’ve done.
I try now again.
I’m sending you the screenshot of my WPML string translation, showing the Logo translation in admin_text_wb…
I make it well, because searching with the id WPML I found all the items istances, included the logo. No doubts.
But it doesn’t work anyway.Thanks

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Please confirm the permission for plugins deactivation, and switch to the parent/default theme. As soon as we complete the testing we will enable all back, You would better make the full backup of your site.

supergapParticipantHi, please give me the time to make backup and finish latest content activity on the site.
I’ll come back with a confirmation message as soon as possible.February 8, 2024 at 11:31 am #537931
supergapParticipantOk, ready
Please, proceed into your test thanksFebruary 8, 2024 at 12:09 pm #537940
Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Sorry for the delay.
You need to define the ID of the translated logo as well: https://prnt.sc/V7yK0YCMvT8j , then it will start to work. For the test, I have defined the wrong logo for the EN version, so please change it to the needed one.
Kind Regards

supergapParticipantHi,
thanks for fast reply.
It’s little bit embarrassing for me, but since I perfectly understand your solution, and notice that it works great, I change the image ID with the right one, butat the moment I can see the old logo again.
the translation was saved (please have a look to screenshot.
I took the ID image numeber form URL https://narrateworld.testmenow.it/wp-admin/post.php?post=27221&action=edit&lang=it and then I paste it. I delete cache both site and browser.
I can’t understand why but it doesn’t work (same logo like italian). Of course I’m doing something wrong.
Thanks againAttachments:

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
But you put the same logo for both languages, I mean the same logo as you have in the Italian version: https://prnt.sc/7WweI-YWvZRE

supergapParticipantHi,
yes got it.
The issue is that if I past new url and save, it doesn’t save, and the url remain the same.
Like a bug. It auto-save the string translation but when I reload the page the url is the old one. This is probably the origin of how you find the same logo.
I tried to create a new logo, upload it with different name, set also the logo id but it doesn’t work.
Please recap the step.
1) change the url in English logo string Translation.
2) change the ID (that is the id of the media file.
Is it correct
the failed trial is with:
logo – https://narrateworld.testmenow.it/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/logo-narrate-english.png
ID – 27562thanks again

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Could you please create a separate header for the English version? So in this way, it should work.
Kind Regards
February 8, 2024 at 6:22 pm #538133
supergapParticipantHi,
it was my first idea, but then I have to assign it to every single page, post or product that I create.
This site has more the 100 product The final user can’t be able and has no time to set a different header.
Then it could create more problem with WPML (menu/language widget etc).
You tested tested the site disabling plugin. So the issue should be solved inside Woodmart and WPML (that is a Woodmart partner).
I suggest you to explore this issue with WPML.
ThanksFebruary 12, 2024 at 11:07 am #538951
Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
I apologize for the delay.
You do not need to assign it for each product etc. just define that header (ID) as a translated.
Kind Regards

supergapParticipanthi thanks for reply.
So if for instance the new Header is 387494, in this new header I’ll change only the logo, leaving the rest the same?
Is it correct? Thanks.February 12, 2024 at 6:22 pm #539207
Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
You can change the logo, and some text that can be changed manually, and then paste the ID of that header as a translation to the header from Italy language. https://take.ms/S2YKH
Let me know the result.
Kind Regards
