Translate without plugins

I would like to know how I can translate some texts without having to use plugins (like loco).

I think I can deactivate the plugin after installing it and keep the translated data for future updates? Or will the data be lost if I upgrade woodmart in the future?

You can remove the Loco plugin and translations would remain.
