I’m not very happy with Loco translate so I translated the Basel theme into Italian, using Poedit, starting from the .pot file that I found in:
    themes / basel / languages / basel.pot
    and generating the two files:
    basel-it_IT.mo
    basel-it_IT.po
that I put in the folder:
    wp-content / languages / themes

Almost all the strings that I have translated I see now in Italian on the site but some basic strings have remained NOT translated.
    Here are the untranslatable strings:

Note: I am using the Basel child theme, maybe it depends on this?
    What am I doing wrong?
How can I translate these strings?
    thank you

    Hello,

We would still recommend using the Loco plugin. You can delete the plugin after using it.

We can guarantee you will translate all the stings with the Loco.

Here is a video tutorial that should help you translate your website texts with a Loco Translate plugin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3NsDdMzsls&list=PLMw6W4rAaOgKKv0oexGHzpWBg1imvrval&index=3

Please check the video tutorial to see how to save the translation file correctly. You can remove the plugin and translations would remain. Also, translations would remain after each theme update.

In order to translate the WooCommerce strings, you need to create a separate translation in Loco > Plugins > WooCommerce in the same way as shown in the video.

    Best Regards
