    Hello,

When I create my da_DK.po and .mo files in the Woodmart theme language folder, it works without any problems.

But when I create them in the Child theme, for some reason the translations doesnt seem to work.

I want to know if the translations will get overwritten when I update the theme, if they are in the main folder? If they do, how do I get them to work in the child theme folder?

    Hello,

You need to keep your translations in wp-content/languages/themes/ folder and not in the theme folder.

Here is a video tutorial that should help you translate your website texts with a Loco Translate plugin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3NsDdMzsls&list=PLMw6W4rAaOgKKv0oexGHzpWBg1imvrval&index=3

    Best Regards

    Hello,

By default, you should have this folder wp-content/languages/themes if you have Loco Translate, just save PO files there if Loco has not done it.

    Best Regards
