I was told that if I ever changed themes.. Say from Woodmart to another developer, I would not be able to transplant the projects – as they are native to Woodmart/Xtemos.
I have very high qulaity pages / seo on project pages and althogh I don’t plan to change themes, you just never know.
Is this true, I would simply lose all my project pages if I was to transplant everything??

Is it worth turning these project pages into posts?? (I can use layout builder to makr the post look more like a page).

Is it something I should do now so as to build SEO juice? Or can I do it before and if and when I change themes? By doing this now will I lose any SEO jice as Google will be looking at those project pages and won’t be able to find them…. Do project pages have less SEO juice than POST pages???

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Woodmart Projects are a custom post type added by the theme. If you change the theme, the Projects won’t be deleted — they’re still in the database — but another theme won’t display them.

From an SEO point of view, there’s no difference between Projects, Posts, or Pages. Google only cares about the content and URLs, not the type. You don’t need to convert them now unless you plan to change themes.

    Best Regards,
