AgromoParticipantHi,
After updating the theme, WordPress and several plugins on my website, I noticed 2 different Gift Card pages, the real one that was customized and also have the layout of the gift card plugin, which is found on the header/hamburger menu. However, the second gift card page was noticed when I clicked “Gift Card” on the footer menu, which is not the correct page. If you look closely, you’ll see that the URL has a “-2” at the ending. This second gift card page ending with “-2” is not needed, I would just like it to be removed. See below for the links. Thanks.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Have you tried just remove it to Trash and remove from the Trash permanently?
You could create the page by mistake and notice only now.
Theme cannot create pages, posts, products or duplicate.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

AgromoParticipantHi,
I didn’t create the gift card page by accident, nor was it on the website all along without me noticing it. I was working with a developer on creating the website for months now, and at first when he was setting up the gift card plugin, that 2nd unwanted gift card page was seen. But it was removed shortly after, I haven’t seen it in months. I’m very familiar with my website and regularly check the pages on the frontend, making sure things are working correctly, because I’ve noticed several errors and glitches on the website every since it first got started. Plus, the Gift Card link on the menu & the Gift Card link on the footer were usually redirected to the same official gift card page. I only noticed the issue the day I updated the theme, WordPress and several plugins, not prior to that.
You suggested that I should just trash the unwanted Gift Card page, but how will I be able to link the official Gift Card page back to the footer menu once I trash the unwanted one?

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Could you provide the site settings, I will check the footer and guide you. And one more thing, when you update the theme next time, take the full backup of your site and contact us so that we could update the theme and check if another gift cart is generated.
Please insert the credentials into the Private Content below the message area.

AgromoParticipantHi,
I have checked with the company that created the Gift Card plugin, and they told me that they checked, and the fault is not with their plugin. The issue is with the theme or third party plugin. I don’t see why a third party plugin would’ve generated another Gift Card page with a layout that looks more like the themes default page, so I’m guessing the problem is most likely from the theme, not a third party plugin. You asked for the credentials so you could take a look, so please check below. Thanks.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Could you restore the site from backup on a testing platform? I mean you put the site before the update on the testing platform, I update and check. When I update the theme I deactivate all the plugins, then I update and activate the plugins related to the theme, and finally the rest plugins. This way allows detecting the source of the problem if occurs.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Best Regards

AgromoParticipantHi,
I’m sorry but I didn’t understand what you were trying to say in your last response above. Was it a question, something you did already, or something you were suggesting that I do myself? Also, what did you mean by: “ Could you restore the site from backup on a testing platform?”

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
I hope you make the full backup before the theme update, and I hope you still have it.
This is the suggestion. You can restore this backup on some testing site, and I can try to update the theme and check if our theme update created this second page.
If you cannot restore the backup on the testing page, lets us wait for the next update, then you will make the full backup of your site and let me update them on your live site.
Let me know if you need any clarifications.
Best Regards
