shadi30ParticipantIn Woodmart Base Import, I imported a demo version by mistake, I tried to click “Activate base version” but it’s also not the version I want because I made many changes, so I lost the design of the site.
Before the import I had products and page designs but after the import it seems the whole site changed but I cannot know what changed and what not, so I have multiple questions:
1- Does demo import or base version import change the WordPress database?
2- What does demo import change exactly?
3- If I have a home page called “Home” for example and I imported demo with page “Home”, will it be replaced?
4- Is there any way to undo the process and restore back the site before the import?Attachments:

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
I am very sorry you have faced this problem. Do you have any site backups to restore? Yes, demo rewrites all the theme settings, widgets. The only way is to restore from a backup. Please contact your host support and ask them, they may have automatic backups.
Best Regards

shadi30ParticipantHi, thank you for the reply, I have backup for public_html folder and I exported theme settings before the problem, but I don’t have an updated backup of the sql database.
I tried to restore from the public_html but for some reason I got an error 403, so I just thought maybe there is something to do with the database.
So my question now, does the demo import affect the sql database?June 7, 2020 at 12:59 pm #201492
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Please make the full backup of your site. And do it always each time, you are going to add anything on your site: plugins/demo/ customization.
As soon as you make the backup, open the file with the Theme Settings in any text editor, and copy all the content and insert in the field of the Theme Settings > Export/Import and press “Import” It should help.
All the content of your site is the same after demo upload, the only problem is the theme settings and widgets they are rewritten.
Best Regards
