    Hello, it is nice that you have started a big update but it is covered by errors and problems and cannot be used.

    This update is just terrible!

    So many errors, missing settings and adjustments and things that don’t work.

    How can you give out such an update?

    I am really horrified!

    I deactivated ALL plugins before I updated to the new version. Then only Woocommerce and Elementor activated and the saved theme settings imported. Still, everything has changed.

    You can’t do that! I’m not redesigning an entire shop just because of your updates. Since I can create a new one from another provider. Would be the same effort.

    Hi,

    Please, describe to us your problems in a bit more details. Attach some screenshots and provide us with a list of steps on how to reproduce them on your website. Our update shouldn’t cause any troubles if you don’t have any customizations made in the child theme.

    Who, please, has a shop without changes? This statement from you is a joke! Updates in other themes work despite changes in the child theme. That’s why you use one.

    Problems:

    1. Moved header logos in mobile view. (only on home page)

    2. Header Builder was not displayed at all. (fixed)

    3. Woocommerce categories caused a serious error. (fixed and thankyou.php removed from Child) but has to be adapted again to your own needs.

    Honestly? That’s too stupid for me and I’ll restore my backup. I am very disappointed and have neither the time nor the inclination to spend days looking for mistakes and mending them. You just can’t publish something like that. An absolute NO GO!

    Hello,

    We have to optimize our theme for better performance. Otherwise, you can just not update the theme and keep 5.3.6 if you don’t need the new update.     It doesn’t make it any better if the update causes problems on this scale. Documentation or not.

    You have to update the theme sooner or later in terms of security. Soe cannot require all of their customers to be technically savvy enough to be familiar with it.

    It is fatal if inexperienced shop / theme owners install this update.

    especially if they make a living from it. In my eyes it’s a bottomless cheek and I’ve never seen or seen it on any other theme.

    They also make big changes and it is also legitimate if errors occur. but not to that extent!

    You have a responsibility to your customers. I would like to point this out to you. Or do you pay for shop failures? I do not think so!

    Yes, we are responsible for this and try to make the theme better. Again, our update doesn’t break anything if you don’t have additional code customization. But we can’t be responsible for all the custom code made by customers and their developers. It is technically impossible. So if you do any additional customization you have to maintain it by yourself or hire a developer for this. Otherwise, you just need to keep the current version of the theme.

    Nice that you give the responsibility. Your statement is partly correct. But I haven’t changed a lot and the update doesn’t work. As you noticed here in the forum, a lot of people have huge problems with the update. It just shows bad work or too many things that have been improved at once. Unfortunately, this leads to such a result. I hope this is a learning process for the Woodmart team and mistakes are recognized in order to improve. (I doubt it after your testimony and excuses)
