steve-6499ParticipantHello I’ve been trying to update my Woodmart theme but I’m getting an error message.
“Update failed: Download failed. A valid URL was not provided.”
Not sure what this means, please advise. Thanks Steve

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
I would recommend to deactivate all plugins first. Maybe one of them interferes with the URL handling in WordPress. Because the message is generated by WordPress before the actual request to the URL.
Please deactivate all third-party plugins and activate only the theme-required plugins on your site. Then, check if the issue is resolved. If the issue is fixed, reactivate the third-party plugins one by one to identify which plugin is causing the problem.
If the issue persists, then please remain all the third party plugins deactivated on your site and share your site WP Admin URL and Credentials, under the private content area of this topic, so that I can further look into it for you on your site and help you out.
Best Regards,

steve-6499ParticipantHello
Well, I deactivated every plugin and still had the same “Update failed: Download failed. A valid URL was not provided.” error message when I tried to update the theme.
I did notice something else, I just tried to add a new plugin and I got an error message. “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration.”
Possibly both errors are due to the same problem.
Sorry, I had to turn back on my elementor, elementor pro and my shopping cart ecwid plugins as this is my business site and I need it to be on to take orders.
I did test with the elementor, elementor pro and my shopping cart ecwid plugins deactivated and you can certainly turn them off again when you are looking at the site.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
1. Download the most recent WoodMart version from your ThemeForest account.
2. Go to Appearance -> Themes -> Add new
3. Click on the “Upload theme” button and then choose the theme installable zip file in the form.
4. Click on “Install now.“
5. WordPress will show you information about your existing version. Click on the “Replace current with uploaded” button.Best Regards,
