Update WPBakery Page Builder

Hello,

Do you have a guide for updating the WPBakery Page Builder? I have downloaded the update from my account on this page, but I want to make sure I place it in the right place.

If you have downloaded the updated plugin then you can upload it from the dashboard from Plugins >> Add new >> upload plugin. OR you can add it in the “wp-content/plugins folder” using ftp.

You need to make sure that you have deleted the previous one before adding the latest.

I tried using ftp. It took a lot of time and it broke the site, since I had to stop it midways. I am currently restoring the backup I took.

Is it safer and faster to do it through the plugin page?

How long will it take if you do it? I am scared to break something on the site. I am currently working from home and my internet isn’t as fast as at work, so everything is taking exstra time. If I mess up, I will have to use my whole day fixing it. I already used so much time friday.

Could you give me an estimate on when you can do it and how long it will take? My colleague is working on the import, so we have to plan everything.

You don’t need to worry about the website breaking, it would not break anything when you update the Wp-Bakery page builder.

If you are not comfortable then you can take the complete backup of your website before updating.

It will not take too much time updating the plugin. You just need to Go to Wp-Dashboard >> Plugins and delete the old version of the plugin from there and then upload >> Install and Activate the new plugin from there and check your site after removing the browser cache.

If you are still unable to update then provide admin panel login details in a private content area of this topic to update the plugin for you.
