Hello, I added Google Analytics tracking code to the <head> of parent theme because there is any head.php in child theme. My question is if header.php is updating with new theme updates and so if I will loose my code after updating. If yes, is there any solution for this?
Yes your changes will be lost when you will update the theme. We Recommend you to use child theme to make customization so they will not be lost after theme update. You can copy the header.php file from the parent theme and paste in the child theme folder.
Yes, if you delete the file from the parent theme then the theme will be broken. Please undo all the changes that you made to the parent theme header.php file. Copy it in the child theme and make customization as you want.
