Updating theme without loosing customization.

Currently using version 1.6.0
I have queries regarding updating to version 2.2.1
1. Is latest version is more optimized for speed than current ?
2. I replaced “Main Theme” but It disturbs Home Page, Do I need to replace “Child Theme” folder with newer one ?

Replacing latest Child theme folder (woodmart-child) resolved my issue.
I have some last and important queries-
1. Replacing child theme changed the background color of Left Side Category on Home page to “Dark” but I want “Light” (as shown in attached image)
How to change it now ?
2. How to remove Space between “Slider” and “Left Side Category & Menu Bar”
3. What should be Slider image Ratio / Size to fit width accurately with my current website (I am using Electronics Demo) so that it remain equal to side categories level.
Please guide !

1. You can change it in Theme Settings -> Header -> Categories.
2. Configure your columns and rows structure and spacing with WPBakery page builder interface.
3. Sorry, but we don’t know which size will fit best there. You need to play with this image size to find the best size for it.
