Updating WPBakery to 4.6.1

Hello,

I have read a forum post in which the instructions to update the WPBakery Page Builder plugin were indicated due to the alert issued yesterday by WordFence.

But, is it necessary to uninstall and remove the plugin and install it again if version 4.6.0 is already running?

In my case, I have been updating the plugin as you have been getting updates and I have never had to delete and reinstall it.

Would it then be enough to have version 4.6.0 activated?

Usually, you can update the plugin in Appearance > Install plugins without deactivating, deinstallation. Just press “update”

Recently WP Bakery has released 6.4.1 This version would be included in our nearest theme update and you will be able to update it as usually in Appearance > Install plugins.

Meanwhile you can stay at the current version or you can upload the recent version in this forum profile. In this case you will need the following:

1. Make the full backup of your site.

2. Deactivate and delete the current plugin version.

3. Upload the new version from your portfolio on this forum.

4. Upload, install and activate.
