dankdropmichigan.comParticipantWe updated the theme and for some reason now on the product archive page for any attribute/variation people can endlessly hit the plus sign to add qty that is not in stock. I’ve disabled every plugin nearly and still happening. It’s causing major issues with customers. We used a plugin called Variation Shared Inventory that basically just distributes on inventory to all the sizes and we even disabled that and created a ticket with them still not working.
I included our staging credentials and screen recording.

dankdropmichigan.comParticipantI believe it’s called the quantity selector. When I looked at the code there’s no “max” qty set pulling from inventory
<input type="number" id="quantity_63f7c6f0aef4d" class="input-text qty text" value="1" title="Qty" min="1" max="" name="quantity" step="1" placeholder="" inputmode="numeric" autocomplete="off">

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Could you please check how it works with some default WordPress themes like TwentyTwenty or WooCommerce Storefront to understand is it our theme issue or not?
Looking forward to collaborating with you!
Kind Regards

dankdropmichigan.comParticipantI disabled every plugin except for WP Bakery and WP Rocket. The qty selector is not adding the ‘max’ to add for the selector.
Did you check the staging website we sent you?

dankdropmichigan.comParticipantAlso I disabled the Shared variation plugin and still was having the issue. It’s a variation/attribute issue. Happened right after we updated the theme

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
I would like to request confirmation regarding the permission to switch to the parent/default theme and disable third-party plugins. Once we have completed our testing, we will enable all settings back to their original state.
Looking forward to collaborating with you!
Kind Regards

dankdropmichigan.comParticipantThat’s okay with us but please make sure you are doing this on the staging site and not the production/live site.

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Could you please send me a link to such a product with the quantity field problem? Because I cannot replicate the issue on the staging site, there it works well.
I await your response.
Kind Regards

dankdropmichigan.comParticipantIt’s anything with a variation here’s one https://dankdropmichigan.com/staging-v1/?product=miami-beach
You can disable the login to view prices in the theme settings on the staging site if needed.

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
But on the default theme the same issue with the quantity: https://prnt.sc/DAYlh-OzVVbf . In this case, this issue is not related to our theme because on the default we can see the same.
In the meantime, feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
Kind Regards

dankdropmichigan.comParticipantYes this is your theme issue, select a variation and you will see that max not have a value.
How is it not your theme! We disabled every plugin AND contact the developer for that plugin and said it was a theme issue. And it happened right after your update.
I need this fixed asap. It’s costing us money.
March 1, 2023 at 3:28 pm #447396
dankdropmichigan.comParticipantHow is it not a theme issue when I disabled every single plugin except for WP Bakery? Also happened right after your update.
We have other issues we have to report as well this needs to be corrected.
March 1, 2023 at 3:35 pm #447399
dankdropmichigan.comParticipantI’m not sure if that’s the exact issue. I was just trying to give you an idea. It is not supposed to let you add what is not in stock.
March 1, 2023 at 4:11 pm #447407
Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
In the settings of the variation, we can see that the stock quantity is disabled due to some third-party plugin: https://prnt.sc/5Pa7TdPJ3OR4 , try to disable it and recheck the issue. Also, all settings related to the products come from WooCommerce so when the default theme has the same issue, it’s not related to the theme.
Let me know the results.
Kind Regards
March 1, 2023 at 4:13 pm #447408
dankdropmichigan.comParticipantWe already disabled that plugin and the issue still existed. We also contacted that developer and they said it was an issue with the theme. Right after the update.
March 1, 2023 at 4:18 pm #447410
dankdropmichigan.comParticipantIt’s not disabled it’s just not editable in that section but you can see it is still showing available qty.

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
I have checked the issue with the default WooCommerce Storefront theme, and there is the same behavior, so how it can be the issue with our theme?

Please contact with WooCommerce support team for further solutions because settings with the stock quantity are their functionality.
Kind Regards
