    Hi there,

I’m improving my page speed since next july google will count the speed results as a ranking factor for mobile devices.

The css file (optimized) is quite large and WPbakery is using alot of recourses.
Is it possible to use the Woodmart theme without WPbakery installed?

I believe the custom header designer wouldn’t work in that case, but what are the options here?

    Hello,

Disabling WP Bakery Page builder you will lose a lot of Woodmart elements as well as the option to use HTML block. If you can fill your site without this functionality you can try to disable.

Anyway, you can enable it again.

    Best Regards

What would you suggestion be to improve the first meaningful paint?

When I audit Woodmart demo with lighthouse in Chrome it gives a really low performance. (see image)

I managed to get the speedscore up to around 38-42 on my own website but this is still to low.

By default, our demo site, and especially the main page, has a large amount of content for demonstration purposes, which is not necessary to place on the final client site.

On the main page of our site are two sliders from RevSlider plugin, products, blog, brands carousels and various drop-down menus with additional elements and pages of our site. Despite this, the page loading is still going fast enough.

For more performance testing you can check our demo pages without revolution slider. You can check this page as an example (https://woodmart.xtemos.com/infinite-scrolling/?opt=layout_infinite). The results in which will be much better (http://prntscr.com/jd43fo).

Thanks for your answer, however you emulated the test on a desktop.

You will need to run a test over 3G with mobile emulation enabled. (Change those settings before performing the audit)

For example run the test on: https://testmysite.withgoogle.com/intl/en-gb
You will see much lower results.

During developing and testing of our theme we are using real desktop and mobile Win/Mac/iOS/Android devises with Chrome/Safari/Firefox browsers on a par with this we using various page speed testing services like:

    https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=ru&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwoodmart.xtemos.com%2F&tab=mobile
    https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/1yC2I/https://woodmart.xtemos.com/
    https://gtmetrix.com/reports/woodmart.xtemos.com/iMafvrRD

We can state with confidence that our theme has good performance results, especially compared to vast majority of e-commerce WordPress Themes, that using a WooCommerce, a RevSlider and a WPBakery Page Builder plugins.

Test results that you provide may not fully reflect the real page loading speed, which in reality depends on many factors. If we were completely was guided by only one test we would see that Google services also have mediocre speed performance rates (http://prntscr.com/jd4oo7). https://developers.google.com/web/tools/lighthouse/

Thanks for your answer! I do find the theme speed excellent, I was just looking at ways to improve it a little more.

I’m using an asset manager plugin to unload .css and .js from pages, however this plugin can’t unload these scripts at product categories.

Do you know how I could unload rev slider for example on an woocommerce category page, since it won’t be used on there?

    Hello,

You can disable the global including of the slider files in Dashboard -> Slider Revolution -> Global Settings -> Include RevSlider libraries globally
