'Validation error:Security Error. Please proceed to pay again' after checkout

Some of my customers get the above error after the checkout. The payment is actually captured successfully but on redirection, this error occurs. The same is also added in the Order’s note.
If you can help me with what could be the possible cause. And if by any chance its related to theme?

Could you please check how it works with some default WordPress theme like twentysixteen to understand is it our theme issue or not?
