Variant image gallery switches on product page but not shop/archive

Hello,

We’re getting close to completion on a project, but something keeps bugging a little bit:

On the product page itself, we have the product images switching immediately when selecting a color – but this doesn’t seem to occur when picking variants on the archive pages.

We know it’s possible, as seen in one of your demos (https://woodmart.xtemos.com/plants/)

The shop is currently on restricted access, I’ve included some login credentials and links.

Is this a case where we’d need to assign an image to every variant instead of just one of the color sizes to make it work?

Navigate to Theme Settings > Shop > Variable Products > enable the option quick shop for variable product and choose the quick shop type on select the options click: https://ibb.co/r4zF6yb and check back the issue.

We’ve now enabled this in the shop, but it still seems to not work properly.

I’ve also double-checked that it could be our child theme’s interference by swapping to the main theme, no difference.

Please deactivate all the 3rd party plugins and activate only theme-required plugins on the site and then check the issue. I am sure your issue will be solved. Then Activate the 3rd party plugins one by one and check which plugin is creating the issue for you.

Otherwise, if the issue still exists then keep the 3rd party plugins deactivated and let me know so I will check and give you a possible solution.

We figured out the issue – images were being added to the variation gallery instead of the main image.
